Thank you for bringing the Bronzeville Communication Network (BCN) to the residents of this Near Eastside. Thus far, the media platform known as “Nextdoor” advantageously controlled the narrative of the broader communication capability in this area! Nextdoor does not exist to promote or preserve the history, heritage, or established culture of the predominant neighbors here! In fact, the “exclusive agenda” of Nextdoor seemingly and objectively denigrates this area via grievances of the new settlers here. Examples include reporting suspicious persons on residential streets, loitering, habitual panhandling, and alleged property crimes by disadvantaged “street people who frequent the area.” More shockingly, there’s been complaints and spurious remarks regarding the Columbus Division of Fire Station 8 at East Long Street and Champion Avenue being a noise nuisance. Let’s endear the BCN to promote our agenda per our genuine and entitled presence. We deserve this platform!
