Neighbors,
Many of you are long time Near East Side residents that have memories of The Sawyer Towers as necessary affordable housing units.
The community, specifically those in the Bronzeville neighborhood, will have the opportunity to give their input regarding the future of the Sawyer Towers aka Latitude 525 at the next Near East Area Commission Community Engagement Committee meeting, which will be held on Thursday, May 2nd at 6:30pm at the Near East Pride Center, 1393 E. Broad Street. It has still been undecided whether the towers will be demolished for new construction or rehabilitated.
Neighbors have individually expressed a lot of interest in this project, so please use this opportunity to join the discussion and engage in person or on the live stream on our Facebook page at the link below.
